American Experience Foundation’s Post

Last week, students from the Academies of Hospitality and Tourism and Academies of Science, Math, and Technology had the amazing opportunity to attend the Washington, D.C. Auto Show. Thank you to Socrates Cala of the Calpro Group for your time explaining the ins and outs of planning a large-scale event like the Auto Show and to the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA) for your continued support to showcase our students this event year after year! Roosevelt High School, Woodrow Wilson High School, and Maya Angelou Public Charter School students learned about event management companies, the logistical side of working with the car industry, how vendors participate in large scale conventions and firsthand experiences from narrators and product specialists on what #careerreadiness steps they took to gain their unique positions. What a great time we had learning what #travel professionals do to plan national and international Auto Shows! Check out more: https://bit.ly/3G53rxD
