March is shaping up to be a stellar month to travel with or without the kids. You've got cherry blossoms in the DC area, St. Patrick's Day celebrations around the globe, March Madness college basketball tournaments at stadiums nationwide plus spring break and Easter. When you throw in a couple of major festivals (that's you South by Southwest), it's so tempting to put in for your PTO.

Flight prices are usually pretty good in March too compared to the more crowded summer months. In its State of Travel 2024 report, Going.com predicts that 2024 airfare will be similar to last year but notes that there are deals to be had, especially in Europe. Sweet! That's why we included a few across-the-pond picks along with sunny spots in Florida, California and the Caribbean in this list of 25 top destinations to visit in March. Since this month may be your last chance to hit the slopes, we sprinkled in a few winter wonderlands that are magical whether or not you ski. Festivals and flowers drove our other choices, including an under-the-radar gem outside of Nashville.

As always, we curated our picks with travel experts and our team who explored destinations worldwide for Good Housekeeping's 2024 Family Travel Awards. We're on the move again for our 2025 awards, and we hope you'll get away this month too.
