This fall, AEF and Destination DC reinforced the available careers in hospitality at five career fairs and NAF nights at our Academies of Hospitality and Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media. Celebrating college and career development, we were excited to promote our industry to high school students.

After over 40 years at Hyatt, our good friend Gail Smith-Howard, former General Manager Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, has retired. On behalf of everyone at AEF and Destination DC, we wish Gail a happy, relaxing and very well-deserved retirement. We thank her for continued support as an executive committee member of AEF’s Board of Directors.
