MEMBER NEWS

Dear Members,

Last week, Destination DC (DDC) hosted a successful July 4th fundraiser on the Potomac View Terrace at the American Pharmacists Association. We raised more than $50,000 for DDC's American Experience Foundation, which impacts local high school students. The foundation gives them exposure to our industry and provides scholarships – all with the hopes of generating future talent for our workforce.

We are excited to work with our partners at Major League Soccer, Audi Field, the Mayor's office, Events DC and others in hosting MLS All-Star Week, which begins July 15 and culminates with the 2023 MLS All-Star Game at Audi Field on July 19 at 8 p.m. As summer rolls on, check out what else is happening across the city on washington.org.

Please make sure to register for DDC’s Marketing Outlook Meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 8-11 a.m. at the Warner Theatre. Early bird registration prices are available through Aug. 1 and ticket sales benefit AEF. This year’s meeting is all about how we’ll be maximizing additional funding to promote Washington, DC to impact your business with a new advertising campaign as well as the latest data on DC’s tourism industry.

Kind regards,

Elliott Ferguson, President & CEO of Destination DC
