AEF welcomes students at Academies of Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media at eight DC high schools. Your contributions support a full year of inspirational professional development sessions, trainings, internships and scholarships.

Incoming freshmen started their high school journey early this August by participating in the Summer Bridge program at Jackson-Reed High School.

AEF Student Advisory Board leaders Diamond Hunter and Lauren Brown shared their expertise through workshops in personal branding, etiquette in the workplace and maximizing your high school experience.

Looking for help this fall? Enlist a career focused student from the Advanced Internship Program (AIP).

The AIP provides emerging young professionals with training and guidance from industry leaders throughout the year.

• Hosting an intern comes at no cost to the employer because it’s paid by the DC Office of the Superintendent of Education.
  
  
• Students are high school juniors and seniors studying Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts, Mass Media & Communications, Information Technology (IT) and more.
  
  
• Students work 8-12 hours per week from Nov. 6, 2023 – May 24, 2024.
  
  
• In-person and hybrid internships are requested.
