• Get Involved: Donate a holiday raffle or silent auction prize. Your tax-deductible donation will help fund work-based learning programs for students. 
  
  
• Four students from the Coolidge Media Network visited the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Annual Legislative Conference and worked with the official social media teams to capture content.  
  
  
• AEF is hitting the Back-to-School Night scene. Check out our time at Ballou High School and Jackson-Reed High School.
  
  
• Register for the Destination DC (DDC) Member Holiday Party celebrating AEF on Dec. 12 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the Smithsonian National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute.

This month, AEF helped DC high school students experience the CBCF Annual Legislative Conference. Four students from the Coolidge Media Network attended the State of Black ­­Tourism panel at the MLK Library and Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s press conference. They worked with the event's official social media team to capture content and interviews. Additionally, 27 students from Ballou High School were invited to attend a panel led by Senator Raphael Warnock.

Back-to-school events for students and families provide an opportunity to showcase terrific careers in hospitality. AEF joined Jackson-Reed High School and Ballou High School to highlight hospitality, culinary arts and media careers.

Thank you to all the participants, organizations and pep rally members who joined DDC’s Member Pickleball Tournament at Kraken Kourts & Skates. With your support, AEF raised funds for work-based learning programs this upcoming school year.  Congratulations to our winners:
