AEF visited New York City with 48 students and educators from DC's Academies of Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media. 

Students explored tourist attractions, various large-scale hotels and engaged with professionals to learn about hospitality industry careers and pathways.

AEF proudly supported the DC Career and Technical Student Organization State Leadership Conference.

AEF proudly supported the DC Career and Technical Student Organization State Leadership Conference. A big thank you to over 200 volunteers and 50 AEF supporters who helped more than 1,000 students in their career and technical education journey. Students competed in areas such as presentations, STEM, interviewing and technical skills. Winners will compete at five national CTSO events.

Celebrate the Holidays with AEF
Ballou High School, Cardozo Education Campus and Roosevelt High School competed in the ProStart DC Invitational at the National Union Building

On March 4, Ballou High School, Cardozo Education Campus and Roosevelt High School competed in the ProStart DC Invitational at the National Union Building, led by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington and DC Public Schools.  

Students showcased their culinary skills by creating a three-course meal and pitching original restaurant concepts. Congratulations to Roosevelt High School, the winner in both culinary and business management, who will represent DC at the National ProStart Invitational in May.
