HOME INDUSTRY BUZZ MEMBER EXTRANET VISITOR RESEARCH

Dear Members,

Thank you to everyone who participated in Destination DC’s (DDC’s) annual 4th of July fundraiser on the roof of the American Pharmacists Association, where we celebrated students and enjoyed a spectacular view of the fireworks. As always, proceeds from the event supports hospitality and tourism education for local public school students through our affiliated nonprofit, the American Experience Foundation (AEF). Please consider supporting the Foundation.

This year’s July 4 celebration also continued our countdown to honoring America’s 250th – and DC250 – throughout 2026.

From June 14-18 at U.S. Travel Association’s IPW in Chicago, the team met with international customers and journalists to remind everyone that there’s #Only1DC. IPW is the premier travel trade show driving international visitation to the U.S.

Summer brings lots of reasons to visit DC, and the season continues with the Mubadala Citi DC Open from July 21-27, the Broccoli City music festival from Aug. 8-10 and the much loved DC JazzFest, which brings a stunning range of jazz music across the city from Aug. 27-31. Savor summer even more with Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s Summer Restaurant Week, running Aug. 18-24.

Kindly,
