Dear Members,

On July 4, we will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary milestone as a country and as the capital city. At Destination DC (DDC), we’ve been supporting and preparing for this moment, with your invaluable engagement, for more than two years.

We have a special event to mark the occasion: DDC’s annual July 4th Celebration on the Potomac View Terrace of the American Pharmacists Association. Sponsorships are available, and proceeds support DDC’s partner nonprofit, NEXTDC, to bring unmatched industry experience to DC’s next generation of hospitality leaders.

There are many additional opportunities this summer:

  • Capital Pride holds events from June 6-21
  • The DC/DOX Film Festival runs June 11-14
  • The Giant National Capital BBQ Battle returns to Pennsylvania Avenue from June 27-28, with new features for its 34th iteration
  • Check the schedule for the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone on the National Mall, plus more watch parties throughout the city
  • From June 25 – July 10, the Mall hosts the Great American State Fair

Find information on all this and on many other events, including block parties, museum openings, festivals and more at washington.org and on DC250.us.
