This summer, AEF and Destination DC welcome 11 interns to the team. Young leaders will meet with hoteliers, business improvement districts, restaurants, attractions, government officials and more across the hospitality industry in DC as they consider placemaking in the hospitality industry. Thank you to AEF scholarship winners and attendees for a wonderful July 4^th celebration. The evening was a huge success and together raised over $58,000! Your support of this annual event provides college and career readiness resources to Academy of Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media students across DC.

AEF honored alumni of the Academies of Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media. The celebration included current and former interns, student board members and scholarship winners for an evening of networking and camaraderie. AEF is proud of all they have accomplished and will accomplish in the future!

Middle school students from across the District of Columbia Public School system explored opportunities available as they enter high school during the Career and Technical Education Expo. AEF and Destination DC asked students to imagine how they would promote Washington, DC to the world.

This June, the Washington Area Concierge Association (WACA) hosted its annual Charity Gala. For its 39^th edition, they invested in AEF. Thank you to WACA for the honor, partnership and continued community support.

WACA has donated over $15,000 to the Foundation over the last 10 years in contributions and scholarships awarded.
