Thank you to all who attended DDC's Member Open House! Coolidge High School's Academy of Mass Media hosted the AEF Recording Studio where industry professionals reflected on how they got their start in hospitality and shared advice for young people new in their careers.  

The DDC Member Volleyball Tournament was a huge success. The annual tournament for industry professionals was back for the first time since 2020. Thank you to all the teams and pep rally members who supported AEF.

With your support, we were able to raise funds for three scholarship awards this year!

AEF announces three new members of our Board of Directors. These individuals are long-time partners of the foundation and the team looks forward to their guidance and support throughout the year. Join us in welcoming:

It’s resume season. As high school students prepare for this summer's Career Ready Internships, they are refining their resumes. AEF and industry volunteers supported 15 sessions of resume and project feedback throughout the past two months at five of our Academies of Hospitality & Tourism, Culinary Arts and Mass Media.

On March 22, AEF will host Building Your Workforce Pipeline to engage with HR and hiring managers who will share insights on:

1. How to recruit new talent
2. Long-term successes of continued engagement with young professionals
3. Opportunities to host interns that are paid through the DC government
